Save the Bees

The Bees Need Our Help

Globally we are seeing the decline of bee populations…which is concerning. Pollinators help to produce between 70 and 90 percent of our food.

The reason for population decline is not well understood, but colony collapse is a phenomenon that has been seen in bees that group together, led by a queen.

Solitary bees like Mason, Carpenter and Leaf-Cutter bees are super pollinators and are becoming the “life support” system that our colonizing bees need to recover.

Having small groups of bee keepers also is not a long term solution. The power lies in lots of suburban bee keepers keeping bee hotels and supporting populations. You could be part of the solution to the bee population problem.
